Awww, to be an artist

I have always wanted to express myself in artistic ways. I loved to draw and paint and write poetry, when I was young. As an adult I have turned those things into household artistry. Sewing my children's clothes and then stalking them to see my work. Painting a room just the right shade of yellow to offset the orange and browns in the floor. To see a piece of furniture I am working on go from an old nasty worn-out old thing turn  into a beautiful piece of craftsmanship that was once laboured on by strong hands with a dream. To see how yarn turns into socks and how a tiny seed can die in the ground and turn into an amazing flower with petals so deep and rich in color that no man has ever duplicated it. Amazing.....
I never pictured that life would be the tapestry in which I would paint or my lawn the canvas in which to draw my pictures. Or that I would hear living words being poured out in my life. I didn't create any of this. It was designed for me before I was even created. It was written in the fabric of my soul, just as my children were within my womb at my birth. How wonderful to realize I am seeing now how  the stories and pictures in my head,as a child, live. Enacted in my everyday life.
The power of our creative ability is lived out in our lives. What we wear, what we drive, what kind of house we live in...the types of relationships we have, what types of disease we suffer from....But what are we creating? The car we drive, the house, the clothes: all expressions of how we see ourselves, not what or who we really are. The relationships, our health; all impressions from an earlier time. Impressions, expressions; all words that speak of Art. We express in our creative abilities the impressions that we see and the unique way  we see them. We are making art constantly! Every thing we act out is an expression of something in our minds. The truth of our creation is that we were ourselves created. God created us to be who we are, to have the minds that we have, that see the world the way we do. And He,being the best artist, saw us first in his mind before he put us on paper(here on earth,) so to speak. What we have, and the children which came from the Love we shared with our husbands, was all partnered with God. It is His expression, based on the Impression that he loved us and wanted to have lots of children. Then he created us in Love. His is an expression of  life...Those are the real works of art.  I am so glad that God gave us Jesus, his child, so that we could be co-creators with him, seeing things through his eyes.We are actually being  artists with the one who made art, who made through nature in all its glory and beauty, so that we could mirror all our images off of his. So as we can express it in our daily affairs. If we see everything we do with that in mind, nothing will seem mundane anymore!
