Harvest Time!

When the day is done, and I am tired as all get out. I have cooked, cleaned, gardened, and fed chickens and children. We are winding down, going to gather eggs, water the plants still in the green house, and see if there is any food yet to be harvested, and find the strawberries ripe, the lettuce full, the spinich green, the swiss chard tall, the radishes bulging from the ground and the onions starting to push up from the earth, I realize how truly blessed I am. I gather in the harvest and look at the abundance on my counters and thank God for giving us the fruit of the vine. Once apon a time, the first man was cast out of the garden and cursed to toil the earth for his daily bread. Now here I am 6000 or more years later and Jesus has died and risen again so that my work, of tilling the earth, is no more a curse, but the gift of the fresh food a rich blessing! Thank you Lord for my boutiful harvest!PhotobucketPhotobucket
